NOSRAM & Ari Bakla FEMCA TC Champions 2011!
NOSRAM driver Ari Bakla took the title at the 2011 FEMCA Touring Car Modified Championship in Sydney / Australia.
The 2011 FEMCA Touring Car Modified Championship was held at the SORMCC track in Sydney. During practice and qualifying, temperatures were high resulting in all electronic equipment getting hot. No problem for the NOSRAM drivers! The NOSRAM pearl istc version 2 speed control and NOSRAM pure evolution brushless modified motor performed on a consistently high level, putting a confident smile on the racers’ faces.
Qualifying saw some tough and tight fights between the drivers. At the end of 6 highly competitive rounds, it was Ari Bakla who took TQ honours ahead of Timothy Lee and Ryan Maker. With Justin Vergunst on 7th and Corey Broadstock on 8th, two other drivers relying on NOSRAM speed force qualified to the top ten.
The finals were scheduled for Sunday, but black clouds and rain for several hours made any racing impossible. Consequently, the 2011 FEMCA Touring Car Modified Championship was called on qualifying. Ari Bakla’s perfect start into the race weekend therefore proved to be decisive.
The winner and with him another two of the top ten drivers relied in the NOSRAM World Championship winning brushless technology. Again, the NOSRAM pearl istc version 2 speedo and NOSRAM pure evolution brushless modified motor made the difference at a top level race event.
What a great success for Ari Bakla and the NOSRAM racing team in the Far East! Congratulations!
