NOSRAM successful in Austria!

Wednesday, 24. August 2011

NOSRAM driver Christoph Dobetsberger ruled the third round of the “Oberösterreich Cup” - a prestigious and highly competitive race series in Upper Austria.

The third round of the 2011 edition was hosted by the MSC Osterhofen club. 51 drivers had registered for 1/8th Buggy, 20 for 1/8th Truggy.
In the semi finals, NOSRAM driver Christoph Dobetsberger started from the first place in both, Buggy and Truggy class. Christoph fought hard to conquer the TQ position for the finals – with great success!
The 30 minutes 1/8 thTruggy final proved to be a one man show. Powered by his NOSRAM RS.21 RR nitro race engine, Christoph clearly outperformed his competitors. None of the other drivers was able to keep it up with his speed. The NOSRAM driver was in the lead from the start to the checkered flag and won the race with a 2 laps gap on the rest of the field.
The 30 minutes 1/8th Buggy final was scheduled directly after the Truggy final. Everybody could see a really thrilling race. Starting from the first position, Christoph defended the lead against Florian Schrenk and Luca Steinbauer. Some small mistakes forced the NOSRAM driver to let Luca overtake him. After a tough race, Christoph finished second. A great result, if we consider that he had to race the Truggy final immediately before.
Christoph Dobetsberger gets the power he needs to be successful out of his NOSRAM nitro race engine. The NOSRAM RS.21 RR draws stunning 2.71hp out of 35.400rpm and provides your 1/8th offroad car with maximum power and speed! In addition, the RS.21 RR follows the no. 1 rule of competition engines: reliability! Only the combination of power, speed and reliability can be successful in high-level racing.
First place in Truggy, second place in Buggy – well done, Christoph!
